Reported from the NUFORC website:
"I am 80 years old and want to tell what went on. It was about sept. 1967, I was a crewman on the m/v Camron, a support vessel for a jackup oil rig in the Cook Inlet.
Two of the four man crew were asleep, the skipper and I were in the wheelhouse and on our way to Anchorage to pick up supplies.
A very bright lite came down in front of the boat and slowly went around to the back and shot off into the sky. We could not tell if it was far off or very close or the size of it.
The next day on the Kenai radio there were a lot calls about dogs barking. "
